Tin held the lecture/workshop Diagram at “LAA340 Design and Management of Urban Blue-Green Infrastructures”. The lecture encourages students to draw, convey and convince beyond the conventional plans and sections of landscape architecture. The workshop therefore focuses on using diagrams to translate complex analyses, processes and systems into clear ideas—and eventually, design proposals.

Tin held for the second time, the guest lecture GIS in Practice: Planning, Tools and Bizniz for LAD102 GIS – Introduction at NMBU. Tin was instructed to give an awe-inspiring monologue, and to say the least, Tin never dissapoints. The lecture also examined maps as instruments of persuasion: they may appear objective, but what they include, exclude and emphasise can determine what gets built, what gets approved and where the money might be hiding.

Tin kicks off his LAA350 lecture series with an extended oppsamlingsforelesning, combining and revising two previous lectures on Oppgaveforståelse and From-analysis-to-concept. This year, the lecture is structured around three connected parts: 1. Shaping a brief, 2. Act on the brief, and 3. From analysis-to-proposition. It also establishes what sits at the core of LAA350—and, perhaps more importantly, what does not.

Tin returns to the teaching staff of LAA350 – Projects in Urban Development for the 2026 semester, alongside course responsible Anja Standal. This year, the total of 64 students will work with Fornebu, exploring one of Norway’s largest and most ambitious urban development areas through interdisciplinary project work. The course continues the teaching model developed over previous years, combining lectures, workshops, site visits, study trips, supervision and group work.

Tin supervised three master theses on the program, MsC in Property Development. The students were Desirée Bergene + Josefine Jensrud (co-authors), Sofie Nygård, and Mina Kjerkol Tanberg. This year’s cohort, all chose topics surrounding urban concepts and architectonic quality, exploring what Geltner call the “entrepreneurial and visionary aspects” of property development.

Tin held the lecture/workshop Diagram at “MAST302 Planning the Master Thesis - Landscape Architecture”. This workshop focuses mainly on the difference of conducting a written thesis or a design project - which brings with it different types of diagrams.
