Invited to GoForIT Conference: Emerging Tech & Sustainability

Tin was cordially invited to attend GoForIT’s Conference and Dinner, with the topic, Emerging Tech and Sustainability. GoForIT is a pioneering collaborative project established to comprehensively assess the present and future requirements for expertise within the business world. It aims to determine the most optimal methods of acquiring such expertise. Tin and Curt Rice was the only ones invited from NMBU to represent academia in this consortium consisting of other experts in research, IT industry and industry organisations that participates in the knowledge production in the intersection between digitization and sustainability.

Fredrik Syversen (ICT Norway) admiring Curt Rice.

To mentioned a few speakers: Microsoft, NTNU, UiA, Itera, Bouvet, Accenture, Sopra Steria, NITOm politicians etc. This endeavor takes into account the imperative for academia to spearhead knowledge advancement, necessitating collaboration with the business sector. Furthermore, it recognizes the crucial importance of equipping students with relevant skills that make them highly sought-after in the job market upon completing their education.

For some reason, the host Mali Hole singled out the three people (by name and Tin being one of them), stating that they were standing in the way for free beers and tapas in the back. Tin also had a candid conversation with Curt Rice about his departure from NMBU and where the university would be heading in the future.
